4 people shot at Connecticut theater after Meek Mill concert

Shots have been fired after a concert by rapper Meek Mill at the Oakdale Theatre in the town of Wallingford in Connecticut, killing two people and injuring two others, officials and witnesses say. No arrests were immediately made.

The incident happened at around 11:15 p.m. on Friday when officers were called to reports of shots being fired at the theatre, which is located at 95 S. Turnpike Road. It happened just after rapper Meek Mill wrapped up his concert.

According to witnesses, the shots were fired near the entrance and may have involved some sort of argument, though specific details were not immediately available. A large number of officers responded to the scene as the shooter is not yet in custody.

Wallingford police confirmed that two people had been killed in the shooting and two others were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Their identities are unknown but Meek Mill is not believed to have been involved.

According to the venue’s website, the concert by Meek Mill began at 8 p.m. and ended at around 11 p.m.
